It's always good to see a business in the automotive aftermarket industry doing well and when it's a local, small owner operated business it's even better! These days with the huge influx of cheap, inferior-made products from China flooding the market it's great to see there are is still a few businesses stepping up to the plate and delivering the high quality, locally designed and manufactured components a lot of enthusiasts demand.
Local buisiness Custom Plenum Creations, or CPC and many know it by is one of those businesses. In the past 12 months Owner operator Ariel Banco and his offsider Dylan have been working hard to develop and market their new and ever growing range of CNC machined, All-Billet intake manifolds as well as a host of custom billet components and accessories, produced right here in the Illawarra at their small North Wollongong based workshop.
In a very short time the guys at CPC have grown their self labelled 'No Comprimise' product line to include many of the most popular performance engines, starting off with the Toyota 2JZ back in February.
After an overwhelmingly positive release and world-wide attention, CPC then moved onto setups for the Nissan CA18, SR20, FJ20, RB26 and RB30, Mitsubishi 4G63, Ford 4.0L & Barra Turbo, Toyota 4AGE & 2GR V6. All of which designed and manufactured all in-house by the two man team.
Their latest masterpiece in the works is this awesome setup for the Nissan R35 GTR VR38 seen here in the design stage. A platform that while still fairly sparse on Australian roads and racetracks due to it's cost, is hugely popular on the overseas markets like the USA.
Also in the pipeline is an All-Billet intake setup for the current hot ticket performance engine, the LSX series of V8s which is set to be a very popular product in the CPC lineup.
Another positive step forward for CPC was the recent announcement that they would be teaming up with two big name race teams, Rod Harvey and his soon-to-be 5-second 2JZ-powered Celica and most recently, the current world's fastest 4WD GTR from the R.I.P.S (Rotorua Import Pro Shop) stable.
This news came as no surprise to us, having seen the quality of workmanship and the behind the scenes R&D that's gone into the CPC range and we're sure their growing customer base would also agree.
Design work and producing is non-stop at CPC headquarters, the two man team working long hours to keep further expand their range and to up with demand.
We're super excited to see what's in store for CPC in the new year and keen to see what new and exciting products they can come up with.
