When it comes to intake manifolds for popular engines like the Toyota 2JZ there is certainly many options out there on the market for car owners to choose from. Whether it's modified OEM setups, full fabricated or a mix of CNC machined billet and sheet metal, they all do their job, some better than others.
However, when put under extreme conditions, in high boost, high stress competition applications and the like, many of these aftermarket intakes suffer the same issues; Those being split welds and ballooning of the plenum.
Having been in the game for over a decade, Ariel from Custom Plenum Creations knew of these issues and set out to find a way to not only limit the chances of these issues occurring with his intakes, but to try and eliminate them all together.
After many years of R&D the guys at CPC feel that they have come up with the answer, developing the World's first commercially available full billet intake manifold for the 2JZ
Machined from the highest quality German 6061 Aerospace-grade billet aluminium by the latest technology Hurco Machining Co. 4-axis CNC, each intake manifold is machined from a solid billet slab, offering vastly-increased strength and rigidity whilst also allowing a thinner wall to reduce weight compared to the more common sheet metal intakes.
With the added strength of the two-piece construction, with no welds whatsoever, the design of this latest CPC full billet intake eliminates the chances of ballooning and cracking under even the most extreme conditions.
In addition to being a real feast for the eyes, the CPC full billet 2JZ intake manifold is also designed to work and work well. Unlike some aftermarket intakes out there this CPC item is fully compatible with both standard and ported 2JZ cylinder heads.
With the ability to produce intake manifolds with provisions for 6, 12 or 18 injectors and even direct-port nitrous jets, the team at Custom Plenum Creations have got you covered no matter what level your cars is at. From a mildly-modified streeter to a full-house race machine.
The guys have thought of everything to make these setups work as best as possible for their customers, including offering optional provisions for things like idle control as well as pre-tapped vacuum ports.

The quality workmanship and design doesn't just stop on the exterior either with a lot of time and thought put into the intakes internal workings as well.
Radiused bellmouths and removal of all sharp edges ensures uncompromised air flow into the cylinder head, CPC focusing heavily on not only air flow but also air speed by ways of internal maching which assists in maintaining off boost drivability. This has been achievable through internal machining patterns on both the plenum and runners.
Topping it all off CPC give customers the choice of either a 90mm (3.5") or 102mm (4") throttle body with the intake plenum matched perfectly to suit.
After seeing this intake manifold first hand, in both the design and machining stages and now as the final product we can honestly say that this latest offering from CPC is certainly going to raise the bar for aftermarket intakes, and not just for the 2JZ market either...
