It's certainly been a long, hard road for local enthusiast & die-hard rotor head Dean Crook during the build up of his Pro Tourer Mazda RX3 sedan but after two solid years, the spanners are down, paperwork and formalities completed and it's time to get her out on the road and enjoy it!
Those of you that have been following the build-up of this would be aware of the amazing amount of fabrication, & design work that has gone into this vehicle (See more here). From top to bottom, left to right, inside out out this once sloppy '70s sedan has been transformed, brought forward to 2015-spec with a level of detail never before seen on an early model Mazda.
Although a lot of the custom work goes unseen unless you're lying under the car or sticking your head into every crevice, on the road is where it all becomes apparent. After all the testing the car has been through to pass the required certifications, the feedback on the re-engineering of the entire car has been very positive from everyone who has not only been involved but anyone who has had a chance to get a close-up look at the car.
With the car now fully engineered and registered, Dean has been cruising around, putting the car through its paces to ensure that everything is working as it should and we're told that so far so good.
For those of you that would like to check out the car in the flesh you might be in luck as we're told that there is a big possibility that the car will make a debut appearance at the Monthly Meet tomorrow night at Warrawong Bunnings... Look out for a full feature on the car real soon!
