Moss Vale Showground was a buzz today with smiling faces as the fundraising event 'A Day For Jake' took place, raising funds for little Jake Price. Jake was the unfortunate victim of a severe car crash last year which has left him a paraplegic, wheelchair-bound and requiring ongoing care.
Organised by close family and friends, the event dubbed simply, 'A Day For Jake' saw a number of festivities and attractions fill the showground, including a gathering of cars and bikes for a Show & Shine.
With the weather spot-on for the cruise south, we headed out to Mossvale to support the event and to grab some snaps of the machines on show.
Although the gathering was small in size, the quality of cars was high. With everything from new and old, modified and stock and a few variations and surprises in between.
You really couldn't have asked for better weather for a show n shine event, the car owners enjoying the day whilst their pride & joy was on show.
Chrome work was certainly in abundance, the old school crowd definitely holding the majority on the day.
There was still a few sweet later model rides on display though including this red hot LS-powered VK.
If we had to pick a favorite for the day though, it would have to be this awesome rat-rod ute. What a mad machine it was!
Unfortunately we could only stick around for a short while but in the time we were there you could definitely feel a buzz in the air. We're hoping that with all the support the event had that little Jake Price felt the love today and people dug deep into their pockets to help make things that little bit easier for Jake and his family in the coming years.
