After an awesome break over the Xmas new year period it was great to get back out and catch up with mates and other local car owners at out first IMCC Monthly Meet for 2016
Understandably, with the annual Summernats event taking place on the same weekend numbers were down slightly but as expected, there were still plenty of car owners and other enthusiasts still in town, keen to get out of the house for a few hours and get involved.
Even with the smaller numbers there was a great atmosphere about the place; it was almost like back in the early days where a 50 car meet was a big one. This just meant more time to stop and admire the machines on show and catch up with people.
there was plenty of awesome cars out including Glen's wicked wide body Supra that had everyone's attention when it rolled in. Look out for a feature on this beast real soon.
Another purple power-house that had gear heads talking was this tough-as-nails ute which was trailered to the meet but still rolled through for a lap, the angry twin carb donk putting out a solid rumble through the venue
True to our word that these meets are open to everyone and every kind of car, check out this mad blown Torrie above... Whilst small in stature it (Yes it's an RC car) it still fit right in.
It's great to see that even with minimal push to get the word out there that these Monthly Meets are becoming a 'normal' thing for car owners in the region and indeed outside and that's exactly how we want it to be.
You can ask pretty much any modified car owner in the area these days where they will be on the second Saturday of the month and chances are they're going to say at the Bunnings meet... Now that's cool and something we're all pretty proud of.
Anyways, less words more pics right...? Head over to the Event Gallery page HERE to check out the rest of the snaps from the night and don't forget to tell and share with your mates!
