Around the same time last year we were wandering around the park at the Australian Autolife Museum at Dapto, checking out what was on show at the Annual Minis In The Gong Show & Shine and just like last year's event, the 2016 show was in our eyes yet another great success.
Awesome weather greeted us as we arrived at the venue which was once again packed stunning examples of BMCs finest.
Shows like this give the members, other enthusiasts and the general public a chance to get up close and personal with the cars, whether it's to just gaze at the incredible amount of work that has gone into a lot of the cars, both modified and restored or maybe even to get a few ideas for their own builds.
One car that really caught our eye was this stunning machine which if we're not mistaken sported an awesome BMW K100 twin cam cylinder head conversion with individual throttles.
The car was just stunning all around and the performance would no doubt be something to talk about let alone the sound!
Across the board though we'd have to say the quality of the cars on show this year exceeded 2015 and from the comments we were hearing from others we're not the only ones that thought so.
Craig Watson from The B.M.C Experience was in attendance with his stand packed full of various reference books, literature and collectibles which posed very popular. Craig also informed us that they have a new online magazine coming out shortly which will be available via the website HERE
You certainly couldn't have asked for better weather or a better turnout of both cars and people and if this is the kind of standard to be seen from the Minis In The Gong group, then we'll defiantly be back again for 2017.
