This month's meet was a special one for us for a few reasons. First off we finished off our first Charity Raffle, drawing the winners towards the end of the night and secondly, this meet also included the annual Toy run.
Previously orchestrated by our good friend Paul Beck from Killer Rides, this year the keys were handed over to IMCC to continue this great annual event, aiding the efforts of the Wollongong Homeless hub in support of the underprivileged kids of the Illawarra.
This region is well known for its generosity when it comes to charitable causes and as expected, it was no different when it came to the Toy Run with plenty of support being shown in spades by toy and cash donations being made on the night.
We were luck enough to have Santa drop by again to collect the toys, take a few requests and pose for some snaps with the kids, both big and small...
As per normal the Warrawong Plaza venue was packed with plenty of quality machines, most of them being used as present delivery vehicles for the night.
Even though it's one of the busier months of the year, with Xmas parties and such happening all over the place the turnout was still impressive.
As impressive a the cars were though, this night was all about giving back to the community.
Our Charity Raffle which we kicked off at last month's meet was a great success with the crew selling off pretty much all the tickets and raising in excess of $2700 as a result.
With this added to the collections from our Cruisn' Classics Breakfast BBQ, the recent Christmas Cruise and the 10% donation from the IMCC merch sales it takes our grand total raised for the Wollongong Hospital Children's Ward to $4250.00. An AWESOME result thanks to you guys for the the support!
It was a great feeling to be able to draw out the winners and hand out the cool prizes thanks to our sponsors Frankies Auto Electrics and TrakPro, SnapOn South Wollongong, X Piggy Customs, Summernats group, Pedders Wollongong, Auto1 Shellharbour, Nulon, Turbosmart, Optus Warrawong and Warrawong Plaza. Without these guys none of this would have been possible.
be sure to head over to the Event Gallery page HERE to check out the rest of the snaps from the night.
So with 2016 done and dusted as far as the Monthly Meets go, we would like to send out a big THANK YOU to all of you for your continued support. It means a lot to the IMCC team to see everyone out and enjoying themselves at the meets and cruises and it certainly makes the hard work behind the scenes and late night worth while.
We look forward to a bright and big 2017 and can't wait to see you all back in January but untill then, have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR. Please take care, stay safe, enjoy time with your family!
