With the last two IMCC Monthly Meets being smaller gatherings than the past we figured it would probably be put down to the increase in other similar meets popping up around the greater area, some on the same day as ours. This was bound to happen and in the larger scene of things, is always a very positive thing for the car scene as a whole.
However, as we rolled up to the Bunnings car park last Saturday evening we had a feeling that things were going to be back to normal again and we were going to have a wicked turnout.
With over half of the available spaces filled by 6:30pm and cars rolling in by the dozen in a steady stream our suspicions were confirmed.
By 7pm the place was packed with tough cars and plenty of people getting amongst it all.
It was great to see such an awesome turnout of both cars and people and combined with some awesome summer weather it made for a cool atmosphere!
The standard of machines on display this month was certainly high, with some tough-as-nails examples cruising through and parking up for the night.
As usual we had some out of town visitors stopping by from north and south, mixing it up with the local rides.
We even spotted a few familiar faces from last weeks Autorama show...
As far as stand-out cars for us on the night go, Ron's jaw-dropping XW was right up there with the toughest cars we've had at these meets! From top to bottom, inside and out this car is simply awesome and we can't wait to gets some proper snaps of here real soon.
Another car that caught our eye which just so happened to also be from the blue oval family was this sexy fast back. The colour scheme, wheels and the tough individual-throttle fed donk under the hood just made it a complete package in our eyes!
It was great to once again have Tanya from Shannons on hand for the night to chat about their range of services on offer and get some face time with the local enthusiasts. It's an awesome thing to see a big company so keen to get involved and help out with the various motoring events and meets like outs and the IMCC is very grateful for their ongoing support!
As we are just as grateful for the continued support from the regulars that show up each and every month like the Subie crew which are always out in force.
Consistency, diversity, open appreciation and acceptanceplay a big role in why these meets are so popular a we continue to invite all automotive enthusiasts to our meet, gatherings, cruises and everything in between.
Be sure to check out the rest of the snaps from this month's meet on the Event Galley Page HERE and until next month, stay safe!
